Today, we would like to share a good practice example of a blind person who learned to paint by using a computer software. His name is Hal Lasko (1915 – 2014).
Lasko began losing his sight in 2005, due to macular degeneration. Microsoft Paint allowed magnification, and he was able to paint his virtual masterpieces pixel by pixel. He was featured in a documentary, The Pixel Painter.
This is such an amazing example of the strong will and persistence that lead to creating these unique images. We can’t wait to see what kind of artwork will be created by our project participants from Italy, Greece and Croatia.
